our Story

Hi!

We are Alyssa and Tim Herod, owners and founders of Wood Goods and Hot Sauce, our passion project dedicated to fostering community and gatherings in the recently dubbed 27th best neighborhood in the world, the Richmond District of San Francisco! We believe in the power of local connections and aim to enhance the experience of our vibrant community through quality products and shared experiences.

The name Wood Goods and Hot Sauce sprouted from our simple idea to open a space in the neighborhood we live in to sell Tim’s line of Hot Sauce and showcase Alyssa’s brother's wood sculpted art. After designing and building out the shop, we have expanded the vision to include a curated selection of over 100+ craft hot sauces from makers across the globe, as well as many unique gifts from makers and artists we discovered at various craft fairs and online maker marketplaces.

Come visit us in person for in-house hot sauce tastings available every day we are open! And follow along with us on instagram to learn more about our sidewalk pizza pop-ups and block parties with our neighboring shops!
